How To Get Started As An Actor

Here are the recommended course you should take before you decide to take acting as a serious profession.
Basic Acting
This class is Acting 101. This class will give you your training wheels. It is designed to stimulate your imaginations, your senses, your emotions, and your ability to pretend. You will also be exposed to different acting methods which will give the actor an overall picture of the different techniques to acting.
Scene Study
This class is designed to teach you how to work with a scene partner. The actor will learn ways to breakdown the script, rehearse, and play off of another actor. Actors will typically work on a specific scene from a movie, play, or TV show for 3-4 weeks. This gives the actor the opportunity to fully explore the possibilities of a particular scene.
On Camera Acting Class
If your pursuing a profession in acting this will be one of they keys to your success. This class is dedicated to prepare the actor for the camera. You will learn the basic like “hitting your mark,” working with a set, and working with directors. This most important element is give the actor the ability to perform in a very subtle way. Actors have an opportunity to see how they look on camera. You will learn what works and what does not. Ultimately you get the chance to practice. Remember the camera picks up everything. Cold Reading

Many times in the acting world actors will get scripts with very little time to prepare. This class simulates this experience giving most actors 20 mins to make bold strong choices in specific scenes. Actors comfort zones will be pushed to the limit.
Audition Technique
The audition is the most important skill you must perfect if your want to work as an actor.
This class will teach you how to work with casting directors. Its will arm you with confidence and give you an opportunity to be comfortable in the room. Most importantly it will teach you to be prepared for curve balls. Meaning if a director suddenly wants to see you do the scene a totally different way you will be ready. If this happens usually its a good sign. So prepare for it NOW.
Comedy
Comedy is a special talent in acting. This class will teach you the different roles in a comedy. It will also teach you comedic timing. Comedy classes will give actors the science behind what makes good acting. If you can master your timing you will have a huge advantage to work in this industry. Bottom line people like to laugh. So get your funny bone sharp!
Improv
Talk about real raw talent being exposed! After taking all of these courses you will able to toss all the techniques and just let it rip. No script, no costumes, no set, no camera just pure acting. This class will push your creative muscles by giving you an opportunity to create in split seconds. This type of setting will prepare you for all those crazy curve balls you will experience when audition.
On Camera Commercials
This class is to help you book commercial work. There is a specific type of acting that is required for commercials. Usually commercials are looking for specific types like the lawyer type, the doctors, the mom, or athlete . This class will teach you how to slate for the camera. Practice your on camera work and you could fund your acting career for good!
